SkillsUSA Works to Rebuild MS Gulf Coast
Thirteen students from the New Albany – Union County School of Career and Technical
Education traveled to the Mississippi Gulf Coast February 6-10 to help with efforts
to rebuild damage caused by Hurricane Katrina. Mr. Billy Matkins, Building Trades
instructor, and ten adult volunteers traveled and worked with the group of students.

Operation
Warm Heart
Our first and second period students participated in Operation Warm Heart in
cooperation with New Albany High School. Our city and county students brought
toys and clothes for a family of six children. The following photo includes some,
but not all, of the students who participated. The students desired to make Christmas
special for this family and they were most generous with their gifts. Click

Students inform on budgeting
Students recently read stories to Pre K children and visitors from Regions Bank
and BNA Bank to inform about credit and budgeting. Click
